Horrible Customer Service and Incompetent Job

Pros

There was no hidden fee. To be honest there was nothing else which went well.

Areas for Improvement

I will highlight the facts of my experience with this company objectively. - The conveyancing process started 2 days delayed after I assigned them as my conveyancer. The excuse was being busy. For a 20 day settlement 2 day delay is a significant delay. - I didn't hear any response from the conveyancer for 5 days when I asked important questions regarding a document I needed to fill out. The excuse was being sick. I would expect them to assign someone else to proceed the process. I didn't hear back for 5 days which stressed me a lot. - I was a cash buyer and I thought of having 14 day settlement. After having an initial talk with the conveyancer we agreed to 20 day settlement to have all standard searches done by the settlement. However, a week before the settlement the conveyancer was uncertain to have searches done by the settlement and offered title insurance. I was upset by this and pushed them to have searches done by the settlement. I also contacted management team to share my disappointment. When I said I may share my unsatisfactory experience online, one of the solicitors judged me because of having a short settlement period and also threatened me by suing me in case of leaving inaccurate reviews on third party platforms. That response shocked me. I was expecting a professional response and apologies rather than a judgement and a threat. - I was thinking to forget about all negative experience which caused me severe anxiety if I had a smooth settlement. However, the settlement day was horrible. According to the settlement notice the settlement time was 1pm. I was at the property at 1pm and nobody was there. I called the agent and asked what is going on. She told me the conveyancer didn't contact her and she didn't know what was happening. I called the conveyancer multiple time and I couldn't reach her. I have waited in front of the property for 45 minutes and still no response from the conveyancer. After an hour I received a call from her and she told me the settlement will be at 3:30pm. When I asked her kindly why she didn't let me know about the delay, she surprisingly told me why I was waiting there at 1pm. According to her nobody told me to wait there at 1pm. However, on settlement notice the time was appointed as 1pm. She also judged me by giving her a call. I was very much disappointed and stressed. - After 3 days passed the settlement, I haven't received any title documents yet and I was worried. I contacted the conveyancer again to demand the entire documents regarding my settlement and the title. Only then I received everything I needed. Another disappointment about their professionalism. They caused me enourmous emotional and mental stress during the process. When you read the facts I experienced, you may realise the company was pretty unprofessional and incompetent with the job they provided. I would be cautious about this company and not work with them again at all.
